Computing
At Lingfield, we aim to develop confident, safe and responsible users of technology who are well prepared for modern life. We want children to understand how technology can enhance creativity, communication and learning.
Children begin in Early Years by exploring technology through purposeful play. In Key Stage 1, children develop essential skills in digital literacy, basic coding and online safety.
As they move into Key Stage 2, children refine their programming knowledge, developing an understanding of algorithms, sequencing and debugging as digital processes. They deepen their understanding of information technology and learn to act as responsible digital citizens. Devices such as Chromebooks and iPads are used meaningfully across subjects to enrich learning.
By the end of Key Stage 2, children are independent users of technology who can apply processes and solve problems.
