Modern Foreign Languages (MFL)

At Lingfield, we aim to inspire curiosity about language and culture while developing confidence in communication.

In Key Stage 2, children develop speaking, listening, reading and writing skills, gradually extending sentence structure and grammatical understanding. Regular retrieval and application ensure increasing fluency and accuracy. By the end of Key Stage 2, children have a secure grounding in French and an appreciation of cultural diversity.
